Tanisha Thompson
Owner/Educator/Master Cosmetologist
A native of Savannah, Tanisha’s interest in Cosmetology started on a Sunday
afternoon back in the mid 1990’s. “I began to settle down with the idea of
becoming a loan officer with Nations Bank until that unforgettable Sunday that
would evolve into a dream.” After graduating from Atlanta Area Tech in 1997,
she returned to Savannah to work as a licensed hair stylist. Her clientele grew
immensely within her first year of returning home. In 2002, she opened her first
salon, Total Tranquility Hair & Nail Spa. She has also served as a technical
educator for Soft Sheen Carson and taught Cosmetology to high school students
at Woodville-Tompkins Technical Career Center. She currently runs A Visible
Difference full time while pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Business
Management . She says that she “felt the need to come back to where it all
began. Now my life is complete. ”

Kia Folson
A Savannah native, Marquea affectionately know as Kia is a recent graduate
from Savannah Technical cosmetology school. Upon graduating, she has worked
at Epiphany Hair and Barber studios. Her clientele grew as well as her ambition.
She decided to join A Visible Difference because of the diverse clientele and
wonderful opportunities. A very creative and hard working person, Kia also does
graphic design and was the publisher of a local magazine for independent
musicians and models. Kia loves what she does and she hopes that Savannah
will allow her the pleasure of making them beautiful.
